How energy efficient is your home? An old boiler, poor electric heating or a lack of insulation can all lead to a home that’s cold, at risk of damp and prone to high energy bills. Luckily, help is available and a company like UK Energy Management (NE) Ltd has plenty of solutions.

We’re able to offer fully funded heating upgrades and certified wall insulation, thanks to grants from the government’s ECO3 Scheme. If you’d like to know more about our services and how we’ve helped customers over the last few months, keep reading!

What is the ECO3 Scheme?

Launched in 2013, ECO3 is a government energy efficiency scheme, designed to tackle fuel poverty and reduce carbon emissions across Great Britain. The scheme provides grants for low income, vulnerable or fuel poor homes so they can access funding for an upgraded heating system. Under ECO3, medium and large energy suppliers provide fully funded installation of energy efficient systems for households across Britain.

Each obligated supplier has a target to meet (based on their share of the domestic energy market) and they work with installers to introduce energy efficient measures to British homes. These include things like loft or wall insulation, or upgraded electric heating systems.

How we’ve helped our customers

We’ve already made £72,689,208 lifetime savings across the country in 2021 alone (figures up to 10/10/21). We’ve provided 5,731 installations (of either insulation or heating systems) during the same period and we expect to install many more as we head into the colder months. Here’s what just one customer had to say about our services:

“Hello. A few hours ago I had my visit to install my new storage heaters. I just wanted to mail you to say thank you for them and for allowing me to have them. I don”t usually look forward to winter but this year with my new heaters to use for the first time I think I just might. I also wanted to give a big thank you to the three lads – Phil, Neil and Jack – who installed the heaters. They were very friendly, polite and cheerful despite having been cooped up in their van for many miles in this heat. The Northeast to the Southwest is a long way to travel and their visit was highly appreciated. Please commend them if you can and I hope they have a safe journey home. Once again my thanks to you. Stay well.

Mark W from Paignton”
