You are the property homeowner

Someone in your household claims one of the following qualifying benefits:

  • Child Tax Credit
  • Housing Benefit
  • Income Support
  • Universal Credit
  • Working Tax Credit
  • Income Based Job Seekers Allowance
  • Income Related Employment & Support Allowance
  • Pension Credit Savings Credit
  • Pension Credit Guarantee Credit
IMPORTANT: If you do not meet both of the above criteria, ECO4 grant funding will not be an available option to upgrade for your home.

However, you may qualify for other upgrades – we will check what other upgrades you are eligible for.

Understanding ECO4 Funding: How is the government-backed ECO4 scheme achieving this, and do I qualify?

The ECO4 Funding scheme represents a pivotal advancement in the UK’s commitment to energy efficiency and reducing household carbon footprints. This initiative, designed to support low-income households, offers a unique opportunity to upgrade home energy systems without the financial burden. In short, ECO4 funding covers the cost of making your home more energy efficient.

The grant is targeted at properties that fall within efficiency bands E, F, and G and can be used to install or upgrade cavity wall insulation to a higher efficiency and well ventilated one, central heating improvements, and loft insulation.

The ECO4 scheme provides all of this FREE of charge, but that isn’t the only benefit. With huge amounts of energy lost through poor insulation, using this government initiative to upgrade your home will save you money on bills month after month. However, all you need to do to find out if you qualify is complete a free eligibility check.

Introduced in April of 2022, the ECO4 scheme has replaced previous government-backed initiatives, such as ECO3.

This scheme aims to support low-income households by providing them with low-cost, high-efficiency heating and insulation solutions.

What’s changed since ECO3?

There have been some changes in who can qualify under the new ECO4 rules, with disability benefits no longer making you eligible.

  8. Housing Benefit (new eligible benefit under ECO4)

  9. Pension Credit Savings Credit (new eligible benefit under ECO4)
