Chris from UK Energy Management in today to install cavity wall insulation, trickle vents in all windows and an extractor into the ceiling upstairs to give airflow out to the loft. They started at 8am on our 4 bedroom semi and were very professional and polite right from the start. Mark explained everything that was going to happen as we went round the house and I then left them to it. Three hours later Mark showed me the work had been completed and they even took out our old breathing blocks that give airflow under the wooden floors so that they could sleeve off those channels to stop them being blocked off by the cavity wall insulation, replacing the old breathing blocks with new ones as they went.
Considering the number of holes they had to drill, vents they had to install and all the extra bits to finish the job off, I was surprised they were able to get it done in the three hour estimate that they gave me the day before.
